There is limited to no media representation when it comes to polysexuality. These are also common assumptions when it comes to bisexuality and/or pansexuality. If a polysexual man is dating a woman, people might assume he is straight. There are also the assumptions people make about a person's sexuality based on the relationship they are currently in. This is harmful, as it invalidates a polysexual person's feelings and experiences. The term can be controversial, as some suggest that it contributes to bi-erasure and bi-invisibility. People may wrongly accuse polysexual people of "being attracted to everyone" or that they "just can't make up their mind about their sexuality". Heteroflexibility emerged as a term to describe people who identify as predominantly straight (and do not identify as gay, bisexual, pansexual, or another queer label) but sometimes have sex with people of the same gender. Pete Loeser, Text from Historical Flags of Our Ancestors. Andorra has a similar flag as well, but it is distinguished by its centrally placed coat of arms. Its original design had a green stripe, but it too closely resembled the flag of Mali, so the blue stripe was substituted. The white, a mix of all colors, represents those. The flag of Chad was first hoisted in 1959 after the country had achieved independence from France. Yellow for people who identify outside of the gender binary. Each stripe color represents different types of non-binary identities. The non-binary flag was designed by 17-year-old Kye Rowan in 2014. Using the black-white 'colors' of the heterosexual flag as a field, it adds a large rainbow colored 'A' (for 'Ally') to indicate straight support for the Gay Pride/Equal Marriage movement. Non-binary is any gender identity that is not strictly male or female. It should be noted that a polysexual person could still identify as polyamorous, but the two are not in any way linked to each other. A second flag is the Straight Ally flag and is less ambivalent.
Polysexuality and polyamory are not intertwined with one another, as being attracted to many genders does not necessarily mean that one wants to be in a relationship with more than one person. Because the lesbian flag has the oranges and the pinks, and the femme flag has just the pinks, so I guess this one makes sense. Polysexual people, however, do not necessarily experience attraction to all genders, while omnisexual people do. Like the lesbian pride flag but it's spitting into a pewter mug like toph.
Omnisexuality and polysexuality are similar in that they both describe sexual attraction to multiple genders, with gender playing a factor in that attraction.
